St.
John’s Parish Hall is available for use by individuals, community groups,
and organizations.

Bookings
are made by contacting the Hall Manager, Mr. Louis Lightfoot at 681-0339

When
the kitchen is used, a representative of the Parish will be present.
-
When
alcohol is to be served, the renter must get the appropriate permit and
provide, in advance of the booked date, a copy to the Hall Manager.

Renters
must observe the Town of Wolfville’s noise ordinance.
-
No
games of chance may be conducted in or from the Hall.
-
Nothing
is to be stored or otherwise left in the Hall other than overnight when
the Hall has been booked for consecutive days by the same person
or group.

The
following rates apply:
Hourly rental: $15.00 per hour
Use of kitchen: $50.00 per session
Receptions, dinners: $175.00 plus $75.00 sexton’s fee and $100.00 damage
deposit

Cheques
for rental fees and damage deposits will be made payable to St. John’s
Horton Anglican Church; cheques for sexton’s fees will be payable to
Mr. Louis Lightfoot. Please make payments prior to or
at the beginning of the event.

It
is expected that the Hall, its furnishings and surroundings will be treated
with care. The sexton’s fee includes set up, take down and cleaning,
but if the premises are left in an extraordinary state of squalor or disorder,
extra clean up costs will be deducted from the damage deposit. Please
discuss this matter with the Hall Manager.

If
deductions are made from the damage deposit for damage or extra cleaning
costs, any remaining amount will be refunded by the parish once costs have
been established; otherwise the cheque for the damage deposit will be returned
within a week.
