Collect: O God,
who on the holy mount didst reveal to chosen witnesses thy
well-beloved Son wonderfully transfigured: Mercifully grant unto us
such a vision of his divine majesty, that we, being purified and
strengthened by thy grace, may be transformed into his likeness from
glory to glory; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Psalm 2
Why
are the nations in an uproar? Why do the peoples mutter empty
threats?
Why
do the kings of the earth rise up in revolt, and the princes plot
together, against the Lord and against his
anointed?
“Let
us break their yoke,” they say; “let us cast off their bonds from
us.”
He
whose throne is in heaven is laughing; the Lord has them in
derision.
Then
he speaks to them in his wrath, and his rage fills them with
terror.
“I
myself have set my king upon my holy hill of
Zion.”
Let
me announce the decree of the Lord: he said to me, “You are my Son;
this day have I begotten you.
Ask
of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance and the
ends of the earth for your
possession.
You
shall crush them with an iron rod and shatter them like a piece of
pottery.”
And
now, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the
earth.
Submit
to the Lord with fear, and with trembling bow before
him;
Lest he be angry and you perish; or
his wrath is quickly kindled.
Happy are they all who take refuge in
him!
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to
the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall
be, world without end. Amen.

ANNIVERSARY BURSARY FUND
APPEAL to celebrate 125 years of organized women's work in
the Anglican Church. The Board is asking each and every
Anglican woman in Nova Scotia to contribute $5 or more to the
existing Anniversary Fund so that they can substantially increase
the principal to assist a mature female student to continue her
studies 5 years or more past her formal schooling. Cheques are
payable to the ACW Nova Scotia Board, c/o Treasurer, Marjorie
Davis-Snow, 118 31 Russell Lake Dr., Dartmouth, NS B2W
6J3.
Kings-Kikima Grannies are
looking for your used jewelry, vintage and other special
pieces. They have a sale coming up on April 1st at
the Wong International Centre at Acadia and all donations will be
gratefully received. You can leave your jewelry donations in the
basket under the bulletin board at the back of the church. Your ACW
is supporting this project by collecting jewelry to help the
grandmothers of Kikima in the district of Makueni in Kenya raise
children whose parents have died from HIV/AIDS. This will not only
help the children but the need here is great, from food and
education to water resources and micro loans. Please leave your
donations marked KIKIMA and we will see that they are delivered to
the Canadian Grannies.
Interim Worship Booklet: This
will be available next Sunday and will be used at our 10am services
throughout the season of Lent while we undertake a more complete
revision of The Book of
Services. We will continue to use The Book of Services for
services from the BCP.
We are looking for a few
people to give an occasional Sunday during our 10am service
to assist with children attending worship. If you can help, talk to
Nancy McLean or Jim Fyfe, or use the sign-up sheet at the back of
the church. You will not have to plan lessons!
Habitat for Humanity: I have
been in touch with the coordinator to find possible dates we might
“adopt” to share in the build on Maple Avenue and dates for
