Within our Parish
We pray for this Parish of Horton, entrusted to us by
Almighty God,
and give thanks for Paul and Rose Hutten and their
family, and for Paul’s first year of ministry among us. We pray for
our choir members and for all who share in the ministry of music in
our parish: that the Lord would continue to guide and bless them.
We pray for those in our community living in poverty and
hunger,
and give thanks for the ministry of the Wolfville Area
Food Bank and its volunteers: may the Lord direct our lives in a
spirit of service and selflessness, that all may have
enough.
We pray for those in our parish family and beyond who are
in any
need or distress: the sick, the lonely, and all who are
living with long term illness: may they find comfort and strength in
God’s abiding presence.
We pray for all who have passed from this life in faith
and obedience,
remembering especially Robert Cunningham: rest eternal
grant
unto him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon
him.

Psalm 112:1-9
Hallelujah! Happy are they who fear the Lord and have
great delight in his commandments!
Their descendants will be mighty in the land; the
generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in their house, and their
righteousness will last for ever.
Light shines in the darkness for the upright; the
righteous are merciful and full of compassion.
It is good for them to be generous in lending and to
manage their affairs with justice.
For they will never be shaken; the righteous will be kept
in everlasting remembrance.
They will not be afraid of any evil rumours; their heart
is right; they put their trust in the Lord.
Their heart is established and will not shrink, until
they see their desire upon their enemies.
They have given freely to the poor, and their
righteousness stands fast for ever; they will hold up their head
with honour.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy
Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world
without end. Amen.
