see you as the new day dawns, that we may live in the joy of the

Prayer response: #405 (chorus only) Alleluia! Alleluia! Give thanks
to the risen Lord. Alleluia! Alleluia! Give praise to His
name.
We Renew our Baptismal Vows
We gather at the font, as we sing: #405 (chorus only)
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Give thanks to the risen Lord. Alleluia! Alleluia! Give
praise to His name.
Following the blessing over the water, the priest asks these
questions to all who are gathered,
Priest: Do you believe in God, Father, Son and Holy
Spirit?
All: I believe that God is my Father in
Heaven,
that he made the world, that he gives me life,
that he helps me grow.
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the Son of
Mary.
Jesus shows me that God is love.
Jesus lived and died for me.
Jesus is alive now, in me and in my
neighbour.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, who helps me love others,
who makes me holy, who helps me to love God
better.
I believe in God=s family, the Church.
I believe I will be happy with God forever.
Amen.
Priest: Will you turn to God when you make mistakes,
remembering that he loves you and forgives you?
All: I will, and I ask God to help me.
Priest: You are part of the family of Jesus. Will you try to
follow him, listen to him and share his love with
everyone?
All: I will, and I ask God to help me.
Priest: May God bless us and help us to live out these
promises.
Following the renewal of vows, the children are invited to
assist in sprinkling the congregation with the waters of
baptism.
Priest: The peace of the Lord be always with
you.
People: And also with you.
We exchange a sign of peace with one another
We Share a Meal at the Lord’s Table
Offertory Hymn
#629 Jesus, Thy Blood and
Righteousness
Priest: We give thanks to God for everything as we pray
together:
Thank you, God, for all that you give us. As we share this
bread and wine together, help us to remember all your gifts to us,
especially the gift of Jesus, who died and rose again so that we might
live forever. Amen
We continue with the prayer over the bread and
wine,
People: We praise God together.
Priest: Let us say
thank you to God,
People: Who has done so much for
us.
Priest: God, you made us, and the world and everything in
it.
All the good we see comes from you.
You have always loved us but people have not always loved
you.
You sent Jesus to show us how to live
and to bring us back to you again.
He died for us on the cross
so that through your Spirit we can all be your people.
And so we praise you as we sing:
The
congregation echoes what the priest
sings.
Lord God of love and light
Heaven, heaven and earth
are full of your glory!
Sing Hosanna
x3
Sing Alleluia!
Blessed, Blessed is he
who comes in the name of the Lord
Sing Hosanna x3
Sing Alleluia!
Priest: We are
here because on the night before he died
Jesus shared a meal with his friends.
First, he took some bread and gave thanks to you,
God.
He broke it into pieces, and gave it to them. He
said:
AThis is my body. Do this, and know that I am with
you.”
Later, he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to
you.
He shared it with them, and said: AThis is my blood, which brings new life. Do this, and know
that I am with you.@
And so, remembering Jesus who died, was raised to new life by
you, and is alive forever, we are glad to share that life and live in
him.
Send your Holy Spirit on this bread and wine
so we will know that you are here,
and through this special food, give us strength to live as
your people.
Help us to care for your world and for each
other
in the way that Jesus showed us, until he comes
again.
With all your people in every time and
every land
we worship you and say:
We
praise you. We praise you.
We
thank you. We thank you.
We
bless you. We bless you. Amen
Priest: Now let us pray as Jesus
taught us, saying:
All: Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy
kingdom come; thy will be done;
on
earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass
against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil:
for thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen
The Breaking of the Bread
Priest:
For bread to be shared, it must be broken.
People: We share in Christ=s new life.
Priest:
For wine to be shared, it must be poured out.
People:
We share in Christ=s new life.
Priest:
The gifts of God given for us, the family of God.
People: Thank you,
God.
All are welcome to receive bread and
wine. If you do not wish to drink from the chalice (cup), you are
welcome to receive bread only. You may also come forward for a
blessing if you do not wish to receive communion.

Prayer after Communion: Giver of all, we are nourished with your
Easter sacraments. Fill us with the Spirit of
love, and unite us in faith, that we may be witnesses to the
resurrection and show your glory to all the world, in the name of
Jesus Christ the risen Lord.
Glory to God, whose power,
working in us, can do infinitely more
than we can ask or imagine. Glory to God from
generation to generation, in the Church and in Christ Jesus, for ever
and ever. Amen.
