Psalm 91: 1-2, 9-16
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, abides under the shadow of the Almighty.
He shall say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my stronghold, my God in whom I put my trust.”
Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your habitation.
There shall no evil happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
They shall bear you in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and adder; you shall trample the young lion and the serpent under your feet.
Because he is bound to me in love, therefore will I deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I am with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and bring him to honour.
With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

We are updating B.C.Silver's history of St. John's for the years 1969 - 2008.  Please think back over this period and try to recall any events related to the Church that you consider important, memorable or just plain interesting. Let Ralph Winter know either by note (at church), phone (542 3684) or e-mail jameswinter@eastlink.ca. We would also be delighted to receive any relevant photos. Our collection of Annual Reports is missing years 1969-1971, 1973, 1977- 1978. If you have any of these issues we would be extremely appreciative if you lent or donated them to the Church.

The Road Less Travelled: This theme will be explored each week during Lent. Watch for the booklet Lent is for Living, which will suggest actions you can take each day during Lent to make a difference in our community, our world and in our own relationships with God and each other.
