2007 tax receipts can be picked up at the back of the church.

St. John's Anglican Church, Parish of Horton is presenting a Speaker series entitled, "Wither Religion".  The series will be held Tuesday evenings in January, beginning the 8th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fountain Commons - Great Hall, Acadia University Campus. The series begins with a Survey of the World Religious Environment; continues with Problems Facing Islam Here and Abroad and Maintaining Jewish Traditions in Isolated Areas; and culminates with a Panel Discussion on Facing Challenges in the various Christian Denominations.  More details may be found on the flyer posted at the back of the church.

Pancake Supper will be held on Tuesday February 5, come out and support the men of the parish, bring a friend.  $6 adults, $3.50 children under 3 and children under 3 eat for free

A Sanctuary Guild meeting will be held in the church sunroom Saturday, February 9 at 10:30am. The format of the meeting will be a workshop to share ideas and to discuss concerns.

Wednesday Church service will be held at the Wolfville Elms and the Wolfville Nursing Home  Wednesday, February 6th, 2008 10:15am and 11:00am.  Anyone who would like to worship with us is welcome.

Choir meets every Thursday Night at 7:30 p.m. in the sunroom. For further information, please speak with Don Corbett.

Wednesday Night Services at the Manning Memorial Chapel at Acadia are held at 6:15 p.m. All are welcome to join us for our Evening Prayers.

WAICC/ Wolfville Area Food Bank
As always, donations of food items such as soup, powdered milk, juice, cans of tuna, salmon, ham, turkey, tomatoes and other vegetables and fruits, pasta and pasta sauces, oatmeal, peanut butter, personal hygiene products and household cleaning items are most welcome.

The Wolfville Area Food Bank is One Year Old!   
In view of this, there will be a celebratory Tea and Open House from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Friday, February 1 in the downstairs hall at the Wolfville Baptist Church.  This celebration will particularly honour our hard-working volunteers, as well as all those who have contributed so generously to the food bank over the year.  All those interested are welcome to attend.

Lunch Bunch - for Seniors  The next VON Annapolis Valley Lunch Bunch for seniors will be hosted by the Kentville Legion Auxiliary, River St., Kentville,  Wednesday January 30th at 12:00 noon. Come and enjoy a hot nutritious meal, entertainment & more for only $6.  All are welcome.  Wheelchair accessible. Please call 690-2118 to reserve.

The Rector's weekly Sabbath time is on Friday and Saturday. She responds only to pastoral emergencies on those days. If you wish to see her, please book an appointment, Sunday through Thursday.
