Announcements
ACW meeting:  Monday, April 21st at 12 noon.  Bring your lunch and we will supply tea and coffee. At this meeting we are having a guest speaker Frieda Burger, Owner of Fritz's “Just for You” and Joseph Fritz Enterprises Ltd. A dry goods store with a difference & recycling business­ under the boot at the Kentville end of New Minas. Frieda is going to be talking to us about recycling and showing us a few items from her store that are of interest to women. 

Choir meets every Thursday at 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the sunroom. For further information, please speak with Don Corbett, 542-2640.

Enjoy the Love and Warmth meets on Tuesdays, 10am at the church hall.  For more info call Elizabeth - 542-5944.  We were able to give 3 quilts and an afghan to the families burnt out of their home last week in Wolfville

What is 2010?  It's the 300th Anniversary of the first B.C.P. service held in Canada. The exact date was October 10th, 1710, at Port Royal in Annapolis Royal. We also celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the opening of the Cathedral Church of All Saints, on September 10th., 1910. Our theme is "A journey Just Begun" from the Common Praise song ' She Flies on'. The Diocesan Service of Celebration will be held at Exhibition Park, on Sunday, June 6th, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. Community news
St. Mary's Concert Series 2008:  The Annapolis Valley Honour Choir begins our concert year,  directed by William Perrot, Jr., and accompanied by Edward Enman.  Sunday April 20,  7:30 p.m., Berwick United Church.   Delicious desserts by the renowned cooks of St. Mary's!   Admission: $10.00,  Family $25.00.  Available at the door or call 847-9847 to reserve.  Proceeds to oil spill recovery.

The family burnt out of their home last week are in need of household furniture in good condition, bedding, towels, kitchen items.  If you have any thing you can  donate, they can be dropped off at the church hall Tues. April 22 from 10am - 1pm.  For large items you can call 542-9499.  The Catholic Church is coordinating this drive and we are just helping collecting items which they are picking up Tues at 1pm.

Lunch Bunch - for Seniors  The next VON Annapolis Valley Lunch Bunch for seniors will be hosted by the St. James Anglican Church, Kentville on Wednesday April 30th at 12 noon. Come and enjoy a hot nutritious meal, entertainment & more for only $6.  All are welcome.  Wheelchair accessible. Please call 690-2118 to reserve.  

WAICC/ Wolfville Area Food Bank
As always, donations of food items such as soup, powdered milk, juice, cans of tuna, salmon, ham, turkey, tomatoes and other vegetables and fruits, pasta and pasta sauces, oatmeal, peanut butter, personal hygiene products and household cleaning items are most welcome.

The organizers of the Alzheimer run walk ‘n’ roll for memories are looking for a parish representative who would be willing to assist with this annual event to be held in June.  If interested in walking, fundraising for the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, or helping with the organization of this important event, please contact Margaret Coghill at 542-2429 or recdept@eastlink.ca.  Come join the fun

The Rector's weekly Sabbath time is on Friday and Saturday. She responds only to pastoral emergencies on those days. If you wish to see her, please book an appointment, Sunday through Thursday.
